Holmbury Ltd was established in 1982 by David French who pioneered the first flat faced couplings in the market. The company quickly became recognized for its high quality, reliable products. The original Holmbury flat face coupling design was launched in 1984 and soon became the preferred quick release coupling solution for JCB, Caterpillar and other heavy equipment OEMs. The flat face design with its’s high performance makes it a versatile problem solver for a variety of applications.
When the International Standards Organization (ISO) convened to establish the specifications for flat face couplings, the Holmbury design was adopted to become the benchmark for ISO 16028. This globally recognised design remains largely unchanged to this day and is a testimony to the original Holmbury design.
