Based in Lyon, RINGSPANN France is the French subsidiary of German group RINGSPANN GmbH, specialized in safety components for mechanical transmissions. 

The company supplies industrial overrunning clutches, brakes, torque limiters, couplings, expanding clamping elements and push–pull cables to machine manufacturers across industries such as food processing, steelmaking, cement plants, mining and quarrying, and aerospace. 

Active in France, the Maghreb and French-speaking West Africa, the subsidiary relies on a production site and local stock in Lyon, complemented by group factories located in Germany, the United States, China, Italy, South Africa and Bosnia-Herzegovina. 

A partnership initiated in 2008 

Still known at the time as SIAM, the company was looking to meet a new customer expectation: access to 3D models to facilitate design work.
